Running will feel difficult at first if you haven’t done it for a while but it’s one of those fitness activities that you have to work at to feel like you’re making progress. At certain points, such as a few weeks and months, you will feel like you’ve broken through a wall and have taken a big step forward in your fitness level.
You should remember that running results in a lot of impact on your joints so, for example, it isn’t great on your knees especially if you are spending a lot of time running on concrete. You may want to run a relatively short distance at first and then gradually increase the distance each week so that your body can adjust to this kind of impact.
Swimming
This is a great way to improve your fitness without having a big impact on your joints. Swimming is a very refreshing activity to do and will wake you body and mind up if you are feeling lethargic.
